One of the best ways to get involved on campus and meet new people is to join a club or organization. There are likely a ton of different clubs and organizations to choose from, so find one that aligns with your interests. Joining a club can help you make lasting friendships, connections and skills which can come in handy after graduation.

2. Participate in School Events and Traditions.

Participating in school events will benefit you in many ways; aside from possible extra points and credits, you’ll also experience events that you’ll always cherish for the rest of your life. Regarding college traditions, you’ll appreciate the school more when you understand and value its roots, ways, and celebrations; accordingly, it will make both your campus life and school memories more memorable.

3. Benefit from Student Discounts.

A perk for not only college students but also for all in academe is the school discounts; simply put, in many products or services, there might be significant discounts, freebies, or even no cost at all. Before graduating, ask stores, sellers, and other merchants if you can get a discount.

4. Enrol in an Internship.

Work experience is a key element to finding employment after college. Taking an internship, even one that doesn’t pay, will look great on your resume and give you hands-on work experience before you graduate.

5. Network with Professors and Events.

One of the best things you can do while still in college is networking with your professors and attending campus events. Get to know your professors, as they may be able to help you land internships or jobs after graduation. Attend campus events to meet new people and learn about opportunities available to you.

6. Mock Interviews

Probably the last thing on you mind, but speak to you professors and see if they would be willing to conduct a practice interview with you, or speak to your career advancement center as they often hold mock interviews and sometimes there even hosted by potential employees. Might not feel like it at the time, but just think how less nervous your feel when the time comes for the real deal.

7. Prep your Resume

This will be one the main things you need when you’ve left college so that you can get a job, so why not start looking at jobs you think you might like to apply for and start prepping your resume ahead of time, so that’s is one less stress to worry about after you graduate.

8. Study or volunteer abroad

Not something that everyone can afford. But if given the opportunity to spend a semester studying abroad or a summer volunteer abroad program take it, as it’s a once in a lifetime opportunity

9. Enjoy your College Life.

College might be the place to get serious with your academics since your future jobs and careers depend on it significantly. However, that’s not a reason to stop enjoying your college life; instead, make many friends, attend parties, visit places, challenge yourself, and enjoy one of the greatest moments of your life.

10. Clean up your social media accounts

Your might think your social media isn’t that important, but when you’ve got to apply for jobs it can be one the first things future employees look at. So if you have inappropriate or cringy content on there it might be best to delete or private your profiles.

11. Join the Alumni Association

Probably not something you’d thought of joining as everyone is on social media now, but it’s great way to keep in contact with people you went to college with and the Alumni Association host several networking events so you don’t have make the awaked first call or text trying to organize a meet up.

There’s no better time to do it than when you’re still in college.

13. Go on a Road Trip.

There’s no better way to spend your college days than by going on a road trip with your friends. You can explore new places, experience different cultures, and see natural wonders; as long as you have a vehicle and some cash, the world is yours to discover.

14. Experience Living Outside Campus.

Living in an apartment outside school would be both fun and beneficial; since you’re not in the school’s dorms, you can do pretty much whatever you like. Aside from that, you’ll also learn the ins and outs of living independently; as such, you can practice how to budget, cook meals, clean, mind bills, and enjoy a space of your own.

15. Join a Sports Team or Club.

One of the best ways to get involved on campus and meet new people is to join a sports team or club. There are likely dozens of different clubs to choose from, so find one that interests you. Not only will you make new friends, but you’ll also have something to do on the weekends.

16. Graduation

Make sure you’re on track to graduate. Visit with your academic advisor and go over the courses you’ll need to complete your major before graduation. It’s bad news to hear that you’re a course short during spring semester! Check out if your institution has any sort of graduation seminar to help you prepare for what lies ahead.

17. Credit Rating

Obtain a credit card in your own name, use it as directed, and pay it off on time each month to improve your credit. It is critical that you establish a good credit history so that when you leave school, for example, you can acquire a vehicle or rent an apartment. Employers may look at your credit rating to determine how responsible you are, so you should proactively monitor your credit rating throughout the year. This will also provide you with valuable knowledge about financial responsibilities and how to manage money.

18. Enjoy

Enjoy yourself!!! It’s great to get up in the morning and not have to worry about your job or family. Maintaining a healthy balance between your academic life and social life is part of appreciating these last days. Make plans with your friends for a road trip or engage in other social activities you’ve been too tired to do.

College isn’t always the best years of your life, as you’ve been led to believe, but they are years of development and opportunity both socially and academically. They will undoubtedly have a long-term impact on who you become, so take advantage of these times and encounters.
